The design of this site [design & coding]

It started with the title font, Fredericka the Great, which I've adored for ages and have wanted to put to good use.

It continued with finding a legible handwriting font, and finally zeroed in on Nothing You Could Do.

Finishing off with a dark grey background, making the text color a light gray, and the link hover color a light yellow, and I found myself with a chalkboard look that I find really pleasing. I also use turquoise for the little asides you can see a little here and there.

A later update was needed to display code, and I ended up using LXGW WenKai Mono TC; It's not exactly handwriting, but will do for now.

I also went through a few syntax highlighting styles, most notably rose-pine-moon, nord, and witchhazel, and after some time with witchhazel, ended up choosing rose-pine-moon, for now, mostly 'cause it works unchanged in both dark (where I originally preferred witchhazel) and light mode.

I recently (mid December 2025) added a whiteboard color scheme, for light mode. This mode features a white background, dark grey for the text color, and a dark yellow for the link hover color. The asides simply got a darker turquoise.

Le’Sec

This is primarly a research project, to explore some core ideas for a pluginable security interface and library. It takes inspiration from OpenSSL's concept of "providers", but takes a very different route.
