Le’Blog - Struggling

I’m struggling a bit for the moment…

There are just a few too many things that attract my attention (you might say: distract me), and there’s only so much time outside of $DAYJOB.

Like, I’m slowly immersing myself in diverse projects that promote decentralization, local-first and truly owning your personal data.

It’s… a lot.

Meanwhile, I’m still trying to figure out the best way to implement simple Object Storage in Le’Sec, but find myself getting entagled in all sorts of related side thoughts and tying myself in a knot.

It’s… a lot.

At the same time, I’m ruminating on the thought of a small specification language for lesec-tool, to allow the composition of more complex crypto operations from simple ones. This could be beneficial to specify the composition of a TLS cipher suite.

Gotta admit, I’m a little bit influenced, at least in spirit, by Linux’ Crypto API Architecture and it’s template syntax for composable crypto operations.

Just today, I started thinking, what about S-expressions? That’s a relatively easy to parse

It’s… a lot.

So, with all this going on, time slips, and slips a little more, and I’ve not much activity to show while I’m exploring.

I just have to remind myself, and you, that patience is a thing.
